Here’s how a Commissioning Engineer for our Civil Infrastructure office contributes to our team:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commissioning and startup for complex systems
  • Familiarity with industry standards and codes governing commissioning of building systems
  • Expertise in Instrumentation and Control (I&C)
  • Proficiency in Systems Integration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Industry certifications such as Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) or LEED Accredited Professional are advantageous.

    The salary range for this position is between $87,000 and $112,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical oversight for engineering aspects of projects
  • Reviews and interpret project plans and specifications regarding commissioning and translates into actionable deliverables
  • Creation and interpretation of Start-up plans
  • Provides coordination with suppliers and vendors
  • Provides RFI Coordination
  • Provides technical input during commissioning planning and execution phases
  • Manages the preparation, review, and submission of project submittals
  • Ensures that all required documentation, materials, and equipment submittals are accurate and comply with project specifications
  • Implements quality assurance measures
  • Addresses and resolves technical issues that may arise during project execution
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement within the engineering function
  • Reviews and understands broader contract obligations as per the responsible project and work scopes. Assists with project start-up activities
  • Participates in reviews of subcontractors’ submittals for compliance with scope, design documentation, and coordination with other disciplines against the design documentation prior to forwarding to the design team for their review
  • Assists with site inspection by the design team for installation deficiencies and witnesses and signs off on systems commissioning
  • Other duties as required
