We are looking for an experienced and qualified Oil and Gas plant Commissioning Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for overseeing and executing the pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities of various oil and gas facilities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A bachelors degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in oil and gas plant commissioning, preferably in a supervisory role
  • A thorough knowledge of oil and gas plant design, operation, and maintenance
  • A strong understanding of commissioning standards, methods, and procedures
  • A high level of technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • A good command of written and spoken English
  • A valid drivers license and a willingness to travel to various project sites
  • A commitment to safety, quality, and environmental excellence

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise the commissioning activities of oil and gas facilities, such as pipelines, pumps, compressors, separators, heaters, tanks, etc.
  • Perform and supervise various commissioning tests and procedures, such as lube oil flushing, chemical cleaning, air blows, hydrotesting, leak testing, mechanical running test, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any commissioning issues or problems that may arise during the commissioning process
  • Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation, such as commissioning plans, procedures, checklists, reports, etc.
  • Liaise and communicate with the project team, the client, the vendors, and the subcontractors to ensure smooth and timely commissioning
  • Train and mentor the operations personnel on the commissioning and operation of the oil and gas facilities
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, regulations, and best practices related to commissioning
