|Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in economics, law, political science, communication, or related field;
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a similar or related field, specifically with experience in supporting a corporate secretariat and/or committees;
  • Experience in liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
  • Experience in delivering reports and briefings to senior leadership;
  • Valid criminal records check or eligibility to obtain

|Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a policy position in the payments or finance industry is considered an asset;
  • Certified Governance Professional designation is considered an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating regularly scheduled MAC and SAC meetings and any special extraordinary meetings, as required;
  • Organizing and facilitating bi-annual Joint Sessions between the MAC and the SAC Including drafting agendas, meeting with senior internal stakeholders to facilitate planning, booking venues, and managing meeting coordination and logistics;
  • Assist in developing strategic and effective work plans in partnership with committee chairs and key stakeholders;
  • Accurately capturing minutes and managing actions, risks and decisions;
  • Acting as subject matter expert on the council governing documents and processes and ensuring their compliance;
  • Providing quality assurance in meeting facilitation and managing meeting logistics;
  • Facilitating the development of annual council letters to the Payments Canada Board of Directors and the council’s submission to Payments Canada’s Annual Report;
  • Evaluating council management procedures to ensure continuous efficient and effective committee administration.

| Salary Range

  • Based on qualifications and experience: $78.031 and $97,539.
