Responsibilities:

THIS IS A ROLE WELL SUITED TO AN AMBITIOUS PROFESSIONAL, LOOKING FOR THE NEXT STEP IN THEIR CAREER.

  • As a commodity manager, you should have an entrepreneurial mindset based on commercial knowledge and familiarity of commodity markets.
  • You will be responsible for a defined direct material field, including the pooling and procurement of commodities, developing and implementing commodity strategies, interacting with suppliers and cross-functions to ensure the resilience & sustainability of our supply chain.
  • You will drive the advancement of the supplier base to support the growing demand at our manufacturing locations.
  • You are expected to perform end to end supplier risk management to ensure delivery, quality and cost targets are achieved today and, in the future.
  • You will act as focal point between sourcing, manufacturing operations, quality & engineering and lead cross-functional projects.
  • On an ongoing basis, you will interact with our commodity management and align on demand pooling, price negotiations and global commodity strategy.

REQUIRED FOR THE SUCCESS OF THIS ROLE

  • BS/BA in related discipline QQI level 8
  • Master’s degree or MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years professional experience in related field, preferably in FDA controlled environment
  • Expertise in commodities sourced for in-vitro diagnostic devices
  • Willing to travel up to 20%
