The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine. Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens, in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.

Responsibilities:

Draft, conceive, and execute communication activities for the University, targeting different internal and/or external parties in order to:

  • Implement an integrated communication strategy to raise the Faculty’s reputation and support its strategic goals
  • Increase the visibility of the University and its activities
  • Facilitate the information exchange within the organization and contribute to the implementation of communication strategies and the achievement of communication objectives

The incumbent will:

  • Draft and create content to communicate topics and news that are relevant to external audiences of the University
  • Cooperate and collaborate with colleagues across the Faculty to produce clear and concise, accurate and engaging content to maximise the exposure of the Faculty’s research and teaching activities
  • Act as contact person for external stakeholders / audiences
  • Draft and create content to communicate topics and news that are relevant to internal audiences of the University
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the needs and expectations of stakeholders including students, prospective staff, industry partners and funding bodies
