JOB ADVERT SUMMARY

To implement an effective Publications Strategy in support of Rand Water’s vision, mission and values in order to attain employee commitment and participation within the strategic direction of the organisation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • National Diploma in Journalism and/or Media Studies
  • Five years’ experience in a communications environment
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel

KNOWLEDGE

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
  • SAP knowledge
  • Basic understanding of knowledge management

SKILLS

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Good photography skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Project management skills

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce monthly newsletter
  • Develop and produce ad hoc corporate multi-media deliverables
  • Photography at corporate and site events (where necessary)
  • Maintain Image an publications library
  • Assist with conceptualising and implementation of corporate campaigns
  • Assist with content management for intranet
  • Compliance to budgetary requirements
  • Research best practices in corporate Communications
