JOB DESCRIPTION

The position involves leading and executing communication strategies and initiatives focused on suicide prevention, aiming to support policy and service delivery goals in the health sector. Key responsibilities include managing communication activities, providing expert advice on mental health and suicide prevention, producing high-quality written materials, and collaborating with health organisations and stakeholders to enhance suicide prevention efforts.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience in crafting and advising on health communication strategies within complex, interdisciplinary settings
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health policy and legal frameworks in NSW
  • Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of health communication campaigns, from concept to evaluation
  • Ability to offer expert advice and support to policy officers, senior executives, and staff, ensuring the consistent application of policies and practices related to mental health and suicide prevention
  • Skilled in preparing high-quality written documents, including reports, briefs, policy papers, discussion papers, and circulars, aimed at informing or initiating new policy discussions
  • Advanced educational background in health, communications, or a closely related field

Communications Consultant. You will be responsible for coordinating and undertake communications programs, projects and activities, research and provide advice in relation to suicide prevention.

Salary: $463 - $694.8 per day including super
