Team introduction
Our LATAM communications team plays an integral role in TikTok’s global storytelling and forms an essential part of a connected and growing global communications function. We are looking for an outstanding Communications professional to join the busy team, and help make an impact on our brand and our business.

Responsibilities

  • Lead market communications and PR strategy for TikTok in Argentina, Chile and other countries in Latin America, using LATAM and Global Communications and business objectives to weave TikTok into the fabric of society and build trust.
  • Develop and execute compelling communications campaigns and narratives to support TikTok’s strategic objectives in the markets, linked to clear goals and metrics, and engage various stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior media organizations, editors, journalists and columnists, as well as key opinion leaders, to serve our reputation management.
  • Lead the organization of key media and networking events in some markets of Latin America, showcasing TikTok as a trusted, useful and reputable brand in the market
  • Manage issues and crises, provide strategic counsel to cross-functional stakeholders, and serve as a core member of the leadership and crisis management team for Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and others.
  • Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional partners across the company, including operations, marketing, government relations, trust and safety to provide strategic guidance and insights.
  • Work closely with PR and other agency partners to ensure meticulous execution of tasks.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related fields.
  • Corporate communications leadership experience.
  • Excellent strategic, analytical, and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Deep understanding of and passion for tech in Latin America, especially in Argentina.
  • Established relationships with tech, business, and consumer media
  • Experience working with multiple markets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Tech, telecoms or entertainment experience
  • Experience working on creative proactive campaigns
  • Ability to swiftly understand complex issues in areas of public policy such data security, privacy, minor safety and other tech policy areas
  • A self-starter who is motivated, takes initiative, and works well in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment with short deadline
