We’re seeking an ace Communications Manager who can shape and amplify the Glia story in the marketplace and with an internal audience. The Communications Manager will oversee media relations, including traditional PR news channels and social profiles, partnering with our PR agency to deliver compelling stories to strategic audiences in key publications, as well as spotlight opportunities for our executive speakers bureau. Internally, this role will help a growing, global company stay connected by coordinating internal news releases, town halls, presentations, and reference materials by partnering with our People Ops, Marketing, and Product teams. We’re looking for someone passionate about creating new understanding and telling compelling stories, as comfortable speaking to a national publication as they are to our internal teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in public relations, media relations, or influencer marketing.
  • Experience in developing web content and the use of other new media (blogs, podcasts, etc.)
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience building and improving communication processes and tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Quick learner who can take direction and complete projects independently.
  • A healthy sense of humor, adaptability to change, and a figure-it-out, get-it-done demeanor.

Responsibilities:

  • Public Relations
  • Lead the creation of inventive and impactful PR campaigns by partnering with senior leadership and marketing—marrying creativity with strategic messaging—to position our brand at the forefront of the industry and top of mind for target audiences.
  • Oversee our PR agency, collaborate with leadership to determine the metrics for success, and lay the foundation for our broader awareness opportunities.
  • Leverage metrics and analytics to set measurable KPIs to track and report the impact and ROI of PR activities, gauge success, and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Brand + Communications
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing and company executives to support Analyst Relations strategy and execution
  • Develop a strategy and program goals for organic Glia social media activity, manage channels, including copywriting, posting, and engagement reporting
  • Maintain Glia brand assets on social profiles, including review and profile sites like G2.com, Crunchbase, etc.
  • Coordinate crisis communication planning and response execution, ensuring preparedness and the protection of Glia’s reputation.
  • Media monitoring for relevant mentions of Glia and/or executive team in the news
  • Support long-form content creation as needed
  • Executive Speakers Bureau
  • Develop a framework for select senior leadership including defining distinct speaking platforms, helping to prepare speaking abstracts, slides, and talk tracks for presentations for industry events.
  • Identify and research executive speaking opportunities, manage bookings and executive readiness, assist in preparing presentations or panel talking-point content.
  • Internal Communications
  • Regularly assess existing communication tools, propose improvements, or introduce new technology as needed.
  • Support and help coordinate organization-wide communications.
