BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism or another relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of communications and marketing strategies and plans;
  • Professional experience in a strategic communications or marketing role and a mastery of skills required to develop and implement successful marketing/communications;
  • Experience in internal communications;
  • Experience providing services to, working with, and influencing senior internal clients, e.g. professionals and leadership;
  • Significant experience in researching, writing, and editing communications plans and products under tight deadlines with clear and simple language, using technical, complex or sensitive information or documents;
  • Experience identifying and managing issues and providing strategic communications advice to senior management (verbally and in writing) in a complex and dynamic working environment;
  • Excellent organizational, time management and critical thinking skills with the ability to use good judgment for assessing and responding to difficult situation;
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills;
  • Eligible to work in Canada.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in a health-care environment preferred with demonstrated experience communicating complex issues to multiple audiences an asset.
  • Proficiency in English and French - oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level).
