Community Clinical Lead - Band 7

An opportunity has arisen for a clinical lead midwife to support the maternity community services provided by Queen Alexandra Hospital. We currently have a large community workforce which includes four very well established continuity of carer teams. The role will be worked across our wide geographical community areas to support the current band 7 leads. The successful candidate will need to be a highly skilled clinical expert with specialised knowledge in caring for birthing people and their families and will help to develop a research culture within the midwifery team to identify current knowledge and deliver evidence-based care.
Through effective leadership you will ensure a safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led service where compassion is embedded, whilst promoting good working relationships and motivating staff. Shifts will be 8 hour days and include some weekend working. Here at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, we are proud to be able to facilitate an average of 5500 births per year. As a Trust, we are lucky to have standalone birth centres, co-located units, and home birth options.
