Are you looking for a role within an organisation where the work you do makes a real difference to people’s lives? Are you looking to develop your fundraising experience with a sector-leading team? If the answer is yes then our Community Fundraiser role, covering North Wales and the Welsh Borders could be for you.
Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. We all share it. And it drives our Fundraising team to get out there and bring in the funds we need to protect children and prevent abuse. Join us as a Community Fundraiser, and get more people involved in change that means everything.
You’ll become part of an expanding team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You’ll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that’ll bring the best out in you. And you’ll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts millions of young lives.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to support and steward existing volunteer networks, develop new relationships, and establish new fundraising groups in for North Wales and the Welsh Borders and help grow income to raise vital funds to support the work of the NSPCC.
You will need to be results driven with a proven track record in corporate or community fundraising with event management knowledge and experience or have appropriate transferable skills. You will have excellent communication skills and be equipped with a strategic mind set, focus and drive. The ability to engage verbally using the Welsh language is also desirable in this role,
Whilst the role is primarily home based, there is an expectation for the successful candidate to travel freely across Wales (travel expensed), plus occasionally travel to other parts of the country for team meetings, training and to support the wider team.
In return, we can offer a flexible working arrangement to ensure a healthy work/life balance. The successful candidate may wish to work from their local NSPCC offices (Cardiff or Prestatyn) from time to time or may have individual circumstances that can be discussed at interview.
We also offer a variety of benefits including 29 days annual leave + bank holidays increasing to 32 days after 5 years’ service, employee benefits and assistance programme, generous matched pension, and life assurance schemes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the UK’s leading children’s charity and work alongside a friendly, passionate and dedicated team. If you share our passion about the impact you can create for children, we’d love to hear from you.
Interviews are expected to be in early June 2024. If you would like an informal conversation regarding this position, please contact Jess Finnegan at Jess.Finnegan@nspcc.org.uk or on 01745 775180
