Position: HEI Community of Practice Manager (m/f/d) - Remote
Location: 100% Remote work available across Europe

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: We value a proven track record in establishing and nurturing Communities of Practice. While experience within an EU-funded or educational context is beneficial, we are particularly keen on candidates who bring innovative approaches from corporate, startup, or tech-driven environments.
  • Skills: Exceptional project management and organizational skills are crucial. PRINCE2 or PMP certifications would be advantageous. You should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with digital community management tools. A background that includes strategic business planning and execution in a commercial setting is preferred.
  • Competencies: Excellent communication skills in English (C2) are essential, along with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. You must be proactive in problem-solving and comfortable navigating complex project landscapes.
  • Personal Qualities: We’re looking for a self-driven individual who is adept at building relationships and capable of strategic thinking and detailed execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a knack for identifying and leveraging business opportunities within innovative settings.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel occasionally across Europe to engage with partners and stakeholders directly.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

As the HEI Community of Practice Manager (m/f/d), you will lead efforts to cultivate a thriving, collaborative network among HEI Initiative participants, including universities, colleges, and industry partners across Europe. This role is critical for driving the success of collaborative innovation projects under the initiative.
The role requires a strategic thinker who can cultivate and expand a community of diverse stakeholders, ensuring our initiatives not only meet but exceed their transformative potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Community Leadership and Strategic Implementation: Develop and implement the vision and strategy for the HEI Initiative Community of Practice. Ensure the community’s activities align with EIT RawMaterials’ goals to drive innovation in raw materials and education sectors.
  • Operational Management: Manage daily operations of the Community of Practice, including the Resource Hub, which serves as a central repository for knowledge, tools, and best practices.
  • Event Planning and Coordination: Organize and lead workshops, webinars, and conferences that facilitate knowledge exchange, skill development, and networking among community members.
  • Project Oversight: Act as the primary liaison for Project Officers managing HEI Initiative projects, ensuring strategic alignment and regulatory compliance.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Provide detailed reports on the community’s activities, analyze effectiveness, and recommend strategic adjustments as needed.
  • Strategic Support: Participate in regular update meetings, support the monitoring of project timelines, budgets, and scopes, and assist with the development and dissemination of a Project Handbook for each cohort.
  • Business Planning: Aid the HEI Initiative Manager in preparing progress reports and business plans for submission to EIT and contribute to the annual performance reporting and review processes.
