Description:
The Newham Home Treatment Team and Crisis Assessment Service work in partnership with the Newham Crisis Pathway. The service aims to provide an urgent response and comprehensive crisis assessment to the service users living in the London Borough of Newham and where suitable, provide crisis home treatment team interventions. The Home Treatment Team and Crisis Assessment Service operate 24- hours a day, 7 days a week which includes the Newham 24-hour Crisis Assessment Service.
We are looking to recruit an innovative and independent practitioner who will be provided with an opportunity to work in a developing and nurturing team. The role will involve flexible working in both the Newham Home Treatment Team and the Crisis Assessment Service on a shift pattern basis. Applicants will be triaging crisis calls, conducting in-depth crisis assessments, and formulating treatment plans with the support of an MDT. Additionally, applicants will be providing daily intensive care to the service users under the care of HTT. We are seeking applications from a nursing and social work background and welcome confident clinicians who can work well under pressure, supporting those who are in great distress and mental health crisis.
We are seeking clinicians who have excellent communication skills, and time management skills and can demonstrate empathy when conducting crisis care. We are looking for a clinician who is enthusiastic about working in a dynamic service where weekly training and development are provided.
The service runs 24 hours , 7 days a week therefore flexibility is essential and shift patterns are standard (day/nights and weekends) . In return, successful applications will be supported by way of supervision, reflective practice, training sessions, and professional and developmental support through the management structure.
