We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who has a broad range of skills with an interest in working in a community setting to assist individuals and families to manage the impact of diagnosis and/or long-term health conditions. An understanding of Enable processes would be a strong advantage. You will have sound clincial skills and experience working with older adults and thrive in a team environment. We require you to bring your holistic skills, enthusiasm and passion to achieve the best outcome for your patients. You will have current registration/APC and a current New Zealand driver - s license. You will be able to demonstrate ability to build rapport with patient and whānau from all backgrounds and have a clear understanding of the health needs of our Māori and Pacific Island communities. The ORA Wellington Community Team has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our service. This role is a community based role, working within an interdisciplinary team that works collaboratively to support patients through equipment, modification and rehab solutions to maximise their independence at home. There will also be a rehabilitation component to this role as well when required - working in a rehabilitative way to improve patients well-being.
This role also offers growth opportunity for those Occupational Therapists that would potentially like to expand their practice within Wheeled Mobility provision and/or joining our Triage and Early Response component of our team - which offers variety and diversity in the role. The FTE for this role is negotiable between 0.6-0.8 FTE for the right candidate looking for that work/life balance.
