The winning candidate will have exceptional communication skills, and the ability to communicate clearly, patiently, and with diplomacy. As the first point of contact meeting our prospective residents and their families, it is imperative that you always make a positive first impression. You have strong interpersonal skills with a passion for engaging with others. Being able to multitask and stay organized is your strength. Along with your superior people skills, you have strong experience with using various office software and previous administrative duties. A minimum of a high school diploma is required, with preference given to candidates who have completed related post-secondary education.

Responsibilities:

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:

Join our vibrant team at The Lodge at Valley Ridge Retirement Residence in Calgary, AB, where we are seeking a dynamic Full-Time Community Relations/Sales and Marketing Assistant.
Under the guidance of the Community Relations Manager, you will play a key role in the leasing process of residential suites, setting up and providing tours of the residence and suites, maintaining meticulous records, and preparing all required sales and information materials. The ideal candidate will bring unwavering enthusiasm and a minimum of two years’ previous experience in a related environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in and contributes to the Verve Quality Improvement (VQI) program.
  • Provides high-level hospitality and fosters relationship building.
  • Markets residential suites following established sales procedures to meet occupancy targets.
  • Develops both new and existing potential resident contacts through structured marketing and follow-up efforts.
  • Prepares and processes Tenancy Agreements accurately.
  • Co-ordinates move-ins and suite preparations.
  • Ensures our Sherpa CRM program is kept up to date.
  • Provides and explains the Resident Handbook, conducting post move-in tours and visits.
  • Collects and forwards pertinent information to other departments and ensures accuracy in all records.
  • Comfortable making home visits to further build personal relationships and advance prospects.
  • Co-ordinates both internal and external public relations activities and outreach as directed.
  • Conducts tours and acts as the internal and external referral source for all sales and marketing contacts and activities.
  • Ability to collaborate and work closely with other departments, including culinary, maintenance and life enrichment.
  • Provides reception coverage as required at Main Reception.
  • Complies with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System. This includes recognizing health and safety hazards, reporting incidents, fulfilling responsibilities under the applicable legislation.
  • Completes all required annual mandatory training/education.
  • Ability to work Saturdays
