Moran, Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesSUBJECT: COMMUNITY SCHOOLS SUMMER 2024 TEACHERSContingent upon funding and adequate enrollment, the Community Schools of Brockton will provide several summer enrichment and academic support programs for students at all grade levels. Teachers are needed to instruct students in the programs listed below: 1.Activity Adventure Camps a.Leadership & Fitnessb.Robotics and Codingc.Strategic Games d.Yoga, Music, and Movement 2.Art Exploration Camp 3.Engineering Is Everywhere4.Footbridge Program5.Get Ready 6.Jr.
Boxer Camp7.Kiddie Fun Camp8.Mini Day Fun Camp9.Power Scholars Academy10.Raise Up Basketball11.Smart Start Extended Day12.STEM (SEED) Enrichment Camp13.Youth Aquatics Teachers are expected to attend the Summer Program Mandatory Staff Meeting scheduled for Thursday, June 27th, 8am-11am.All instructor positions begin 30 minutes before the start of the program and end 30 minutes after the program closure.Ten (10) hours of program prep/comp will be provided.QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Teaching license from the MA DESE2.Experience teaching - preference given for summer teacher placement based on grade/academic instruction taught during school year3.Strong organizational skills4.Prior experience teaching in a summer program is preferred5.Must commit to work the entire program and attend trainingDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Lead instruction using a customized curriculum2.Monitor and report student progress using required assessments3.Assist with grant evaluation efforts4.Attend paid professional development training sessions5.Attend at least one evening parent event6.Other duties as directed by program supervisors or the program coordinato
