Job Description :
The compensation advisor will be actively involved in reviewing and optimizing all components of the total compensation for the company’s entities. They will be a key player in establishing good governance practices related to total compensation. They also act as an administrator of total compensation for a client group.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree, particularly in Human Resources, Actuarial Science, or Mathematics
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in compensation management, human resources, or finance
  • Knowledge of compensation management;
  • Knowledge of sales compensation (an asset)
  • Fluent in both French and English, both orally and in writing (The employee will work with cross-functional teams in Canada and the United States.)
  • Autonomy, initiative, judgment, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good knowledge of computer tools, especially Excel and Google Suite

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and proposes changes as part of the review and evaluation of existing programs and the development of new harmonized programs
  • Makes recommendations and delivers presentations to client groups on compensation
  • Conducts research and gathers information on best practices in compensation, legislative issues, and market competitiveness in all regions where the company operates
  • In partnership with business units, participates in the development, drafting, and implementation of a common total compensation policy
  • Assists in reviewing, maintaining, and administering sales compensation programs
  • Participates in the deployment of annual salary review and bonus processes
  • Acts as a resource person for business partners and monitors total compensation practices in business units to maintain consistency in policy application
  • Could be required to participate in annual compensation surveys
