This position is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto, ON or Vancouver, BC office.
About you
You are a dynamic individual with a passion for optimizing compensation programs. You are looking for a role where you will play a crucial part in administering compensation programs with unparalleled responsiveness and efficiency. You bring the ability to influence and collaborate across business functions as well as geographic regions. You can work in ambiguity and demonstrate good judgment in resolving issues. Lastly, you have a customer-service mindset with strong analytical skills.

In this role, you will…

  • Evaluate the efficiency of existing compensation through market research, surveys/benchmarking, and trend analysis to ensure competitive compensation programs and best practices.
  • Serve as an internal functional guide and a strategic partner on compensation, collaborating with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition regarding compensation inquiries.
  • Support the management of annual salary survey participation and completion. Research market trends and recommend changes to pay structures to ensure a competitive position in the marketplace.
  • Assist in developing education programs to increase employee appreciation of compensation programs (base pay, short-term incentives, long-term incentives).
  • Support the annual merit and bonus process, including design and administration of for discretionary and other bonus programs.
  • Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and maintain the job evaluation process using established evaluation systems, and partner with HR/Business Leaders to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
  • Maintain job descriptions, including auditing jobs for content and preparing job descriptions reflecting job responsibilities and requirements, as needed.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance (or related fields).
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in compensation. CCP or CHRP is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel including comfort in consolidating data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise judgment and discretion in handling confidential information.

Approximate Salary Range for Role: $66,203 to $122,850.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
