JOB DESCRIPTION:

Description: The Compensation Consultant provides analytical and strategic consulting advice to support JPS Health Network’s compensation philosophy, policies, and programs. Supporting management to ensure effective pay practices are developed, implemented, and adhered to ongoing; providing excellent customer service to assigned business and operational areas, when recommending compensation solutions; understanding Compensations role in the Total Rewards value proposition; assisting with the development of competitive pay models and salary structures; preparing and presenting presentations with pay recommendations when conducting job analysis, job evaluations, market pricing, and various other projects to assigned internal customer operational and business groups throughout the JPS District are key to success.
Typical Duties
Conducts requirements gathering meetings to understand the compensation needs of management teams while working with HR Business Partners to collaborate for best solutions.

Assists departments in all compensation decisions and ensures optimal utilization of all salary information; makes recommendations that incorporate analyzing labor market data, internal equity considerations and anecdotal information that support business objectives for pay rate decisions.

Analyzes the market competitiveness of the JPS compensation program and perform research, statistical analysis, and reporting.

- Ability to work with external vendors to ensure compensation best practices are current and implemented
Develops, implements, and supports appropriate solutions (programs, processes, and tools) in support of providing an effective client experience in relation to compensation; provides continual assessment of both existing and potential practices to ensure quality service delivery and alignment with business needs.

Manages and leads assigned compensation-related projects.

Develops and maintains relationships with Management to ensure appropriate solutions in support of organizational requirements by providing professional, analytical support for compensation programs.

Prepares job descriptions while providing process guidance and utilizing benchmark job data consistent with market documentation.

Responds to inquiries from Management, providing assistance or information for defining and market pricing new positions and/or reevaluation of existing positions; participates in manager discussions regarding.

Participates in all third-party surveys by preparing data input for participation in local, regional, and national salary surveys.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
  • 3 plus years of experience in Compensation.
  • 2 plus years of proficient experience with Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Preferred Licensure/Certification:Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).
