The Compensation Client Advisory Manager is responsible for consulting with Talent Business Advisors for business aligned groups on a wide range of compensation topics and projects. Consultation requires having an understanding of the organizational design and strategy for their client group and how RSM compensation programs can accelerate strategic initiatives.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • CCP preferred

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • Demonstrated project management skills required
  • Knowledge of state & federal age and hour regulations required
  • Strong written & verbal communication and presentation skills required
  • Critical thinking skills required
  • Proven ability to take initiative and operate independently required

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 5 years of experience in Compensation / HR field required
  • At least 3 years of experience supervising or leading individuals required

LEADERSHIP SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy during the process of educating, mentoring, and coaching staff and management
  • Ability to lead, impact, and influence change

    Compensation Range: $107,900 - $184,800
    Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with Talent Business Advisors for business aligned groups on the following:
  • Compensation philosophy, programs, and processes
  • External marketplace trends, providing expertise in competitive practice
  • Identification of opportunities to strengthen competitiveness programs through networking with external compensation professionals
  • Ongoing, regular support to achieve prioritized business objectives
  • Manage compensation programs, processes and analysis for business aligned groups:
  • Oversees job evaluations and survey matching and participation
  • Guides through key annual processes of Salary Administration, Budgeting, Market Competitive reviews for business aligned groups
  • Provide business perspective and input to the compensation team on business challenges, as well as for the design of Reward programs, policies, procedures, practices, systems, communications, and reporting of key metrics
  • Lead the deployment of programs changes, salary ranges and structures, including consulting with compensation operations on technology solutions
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to provide guidance on offers, campus hiring rates, etc.
  • Bring to life compensation reporting and analysis for business aligned groups.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to provide guidance on offers, campus hiring rates, etc.
  • Project management for assigned projects
  • Lead all aspects of assigned projects, including building work plans, engaging internal and external team members, prioritizing and assigning tasks, identifying and mitigating risks, and bringing projects to successful completion
  • Collaborate across Talent on programs, initiatives, and issue resolution
  • Other duties as assigned.
