Description:

WESTconsin Credit Union, a leader among financial service providers, has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Administrator.
As the Compliance Administrator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the credit union’s compliance resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience
  • 4 years of related compliance work experience preferred (Compliance experience in the Financial system strongly desired)
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis in Excel, Work, Adobe-PDF
  • Compliance and other financial institution certifications preferred
  • Obtain a compliance certification within one year

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and supports credit union efforts to comply with laws and regulations. Provides high level compliance expertise in all operational areas of the credit union through extensive collaboration and communication with all departments
  • Maintains a written program of compliance; including but not limited to documentation of recommendations and insight provided as well as risks identified
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee a program of quality assurance for first layer implementation of new, changing or implementation of new practices to become compliant with laws and regulations
  • Serve as a central resource and subject matter expert to all employees seeking guidance and further information on compliance matters
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation
  • Assist management in new product or services initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations prior to implementation
  • Partners with Internal Audit in functions involving compliance related issues
  • Consult on training requirements as they pertain to compliance matters (example: BVS requirements)
  • Identify and communicate areas of non-compliance that will allow WESTconsin to remain within our Risk Appetite
  • Maintain a professional level of industry and compliance proficiency by attending banking industry and compliance seminars and subscribing to applicable periodicals
  • Make recommendations to management regarding internal controls and safeguards, regulatory and legal compliance, changes to policy and procedure
  • Administers UDAAP, Record Retention, CCPA and Privacy Policy for WESTconsin Credit Union
  • Serves as back up for the Vice President-Compliance role as the insurance representative; files and manages insurance claims
