SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a similar or equivalent role.
- Have extensive experience in the compliance management of explosives and SSAN transport legislative requirements
- Broad knowledge of the relevant state DG/Exp legislation, transport codes and road transport requirements
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven understanding of dangerous goods and explosives (DG/Exp) documents, policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Are you ready to elevate your career and make an impact? Contribute to the success of Centurion’s Transport Co’s growing dangerous goods business by ensuring the safe and secure transport compliance of Class 1 Explosives (Exp) and Security Sensitive Ammonium Nitrates (DG).
- Ensure all dangerous goods and explosives (DG/Exp) documents, policies and procedures are current and in line with state jurisdictional legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Participate in reviews and maintenance of the safety and security system for transporting explosives and SSAN
- Conduct DG/Exp audits and inspections to ensure vehicles, equipment and drivers are complaint to the relevant legislation
- Administer and maintain DG/Exp road transport licencing
- Review, and maintain existing internal policies and practices relevant to DG/Exp
- Contribute to the review and maintenance of transport emergency and incident response frameworks
- Attend and provide internal and external advice about DG/Exp transport incidents or emergencies
