Responsibilities:

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Manager, Compliance, the Compliance Analyst will support Firm members with client and file openings, conflicts of interest analysis and Know-Your-Client rules, amongst other responsibilities. The Compliance Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the Firm and its members adhere to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies and procedures. You will be responsible for identifying potential compliance risks and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Completing conflict searches to ensure all potential conflicts are identified, documented, and communicated to lawyers and other internal stakeholders. This includes:
  • Researching websites for information about corporate affiliations on clients and parties;
  • Reviewing conflict reports for relevance and affiliation based on available information;
  • Independently analyzing potential conflicts issues with limited guidance.
  • Reviewing New Business Intake forms and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures;
  • Training legal assistants and other internal stakeholders on compliance activities and procedures;
  • Providing ongoing support to legal assistants and lawyers;
  • Developing familiarity with Firm professional practices policies and answer inquiries as appropriate; and
  • Assisting with special projects when needed
