A leading institution in the higher education sector committed to excellence in education, research, and student support is hiring a permanent Compliance and Assurance Coordinator role within their Vocational Education & Training (VET) division.
Your new role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Compliance and Assurance Coordinator to join the team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that the university adheres to regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices. You will collaborate with various departments to monitor compliance, assess risks, and enhance assurance processes.
As the Compliance and Assurance Coordinator you will develop, implement, monitor, report on, coordinate and ensure continuous improvement of the systems, processes and VET practices supporting the RTO’s governance, compliance and self-assurance. The role is the primary point of contact for all VET compliance, risk and audit matters to ensure governance systems and processes for VET are aligned with the national VET Quality Framework and legislative obligations, requirements of relevant training packages and frameworks.
What you’ll need to succeed
- Relevant qualifications or progress towards and/or relevant experience.
- Experience in the RTO education sector.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of ASQA, training packaging requirements and experience with government-funded programs.
- Demonstrated experience of governance, risk and compliance frameworks
- An understanding of qualitive and quantitative risk methodologies to assess and manage risk.
- Experience in coordinating compliance audits, anticipating and mitigating emerging issues and developing action plans.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation and implement effective controls within a complex organisation.
- High level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to exercise initiative.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
