Responsible for delivering and executing foundational compliance responsibilities that support the team and management at the advanced level.
Requirements:
- Requires a BA/BS.
- Ability to travel may be required.
- Minimum of 5 years health care, regulatory, or compliance experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- MS/MBA/JD or professional designation preferred
Responsibilities:
- At the advanced level, report, communicate, research laws, regulations, requirements, regulatory audits, and/or exams.
- Provide advanced level support to regulatory audits or exams, internal audits, accreditations, on-site reviews, risk assessments.
- At the advanced level, analyze and extract regulatory data, documentation for compliance with requirements.
- Participate in compliance monitoring to identify process gaps, validate compliance levels, map processes, draft corrective actions/remediation plans.
- Conduct investigations, document findings, update stakeholders and leadership on developments, comply with notification requirements, ensure corrective actions are made.
- Monitor new health care laws and regulations impacting Carelon Behavioral Health through all stages of the legislative and regulatory process.
- Prepare summary and briefing materials on legislative and regulatory issues, including analyses and interpretation of the impact to existing and future Carelon Behavioral Health business.
- Collaborate with Carelon Behavioral Health stakeholders to determine the impact of legislative and regulatory changes on processes, policies, procedures, workflows, and other internal guidance.
- Track implementation of new requirements across Carelon Behavioral Health, developing and delivering regulatory trainings as necessary, promoting compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and participating on project teams and work groups, as appropriate.
- Develop reports, project plans and assessment tools to verify compliance with federal and state legislation and regulations.
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned and required.
