Morgan Stanley’s Information, and Records Management Compliance Group (the Group) is part of the Firm’s Privacy, Technology and Data Compliance team, which provides Compliance coverage and guidance to the Firm’s Business Units and Infrastructure Divisions across all regions and jurisdictions.
The Group provides Compliance coverage of information and data-related risk management, recordkeeping, testing and training initiatives, including the Firm’s governance of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) and Cloud implementation.

What will you be doing?

  • Help implement Morgan Stanley’s Privacy, Technology and Data Compliance program, primarily focusing on data and information management, AIML and Cloud governance
  • Help provide Compliance coverage in connection with new business initiatives, new emerging technologies (including AIML, Generative AI and Cloud), new rule implementations and remediation projects
  • Help define and implement the Firm’s approach to the adoption of Gen AI
  • Coordinate the review process of AIML use cases by the relevant control functions
  • Perform periodic monitoring checks to ensure 1L and 2L adherence to governance policies and procedures
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging risks; monitor regulatory focus areas and keep internal stakeholders informed
  • Advise on applicable governance processes, controls, policies, and procedures, including their design to meet regulatory requirements; review, draft and provide support for new and existing policies and procedures
  • Support Firm’s responses to relevant exams, regulatory inquiries, and enforcement actions
  • Collaborate with Compliance testing groups

Help develop and conduct regulatory training for employees, including instruction on regulatory changes

QUALIFICATIONS

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong interest in developing working knowledge of data and information management regulatory requirements, including the European AI Act or similar pending or upcoming regulations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders across Risk, Legal, Business and Technology divisions.
  • Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and work collaboratively within a geographically diverse team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, data analytics and reporting.
  • Good execution and organizational skills, pragmatism, and the ability to manage risk, prioritize workloads and multitask
