Description:

FM Conway is currently recruiting for a Compliance Manager to join our successful Structures division. This is a fantastic opportunity to join us as we continue to deliver several high-profile projects in London. As our Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all health, safety, and environmental aspects of our major construction and bridge refurbishment projects. You will work closely with our Project Managers, Site Supervisors and SHEQ department to ensure that all safety, and environmental policies are implemented and adhered to. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Central London, working on Hammersmith and Fulham Bridge.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

You will be an experienced Compliance Manager with excellent knowledge of structural engineering and bridges. You will have previous experience in leading a team, developing ideas and strategies into action plans and ensuring they are delivered, measured and reviewed. To be considered for this role you will hold a NEBOSH or a NCQ Level 5 qualification. This role will involve travel to other company locations therefore, you must be able to drive and possess a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, procedures and programs to 45001 standards
  • Conducting risk assessments and safety audits on site to comply with health and safety practices and environmental measures
  • Ensuring compliance with all environment regulations are to 14001 standards
  • Participating in project meetings to provide input in health, safety and environmental matters
  • Supporting the development of project-specific health, safety and environmental plans and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in health and safety and environmental performance
  • Keeping up to date on industry best practices and leading on initiatives to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the business
