Compliance Manager (Hybrid – 3 Days in Office – VA or TX)

At Freddie Mac, you will do important work to build a better housing finance system and you’ll be part of a team helping to make homeownership and rental housing more accessible and affordable across the nation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Strong Project Management and Microsoft office skills (excel, PowerPoint…etc.)
• Minimum 5+ years relevant compliance and project management functional experience
• Minimum 2+ years leading risk management functions within large sophisticated financial
• Organizations, compliance experience preferred
• Proven success operating in a 3 lines of defense framework

• Ability to take initiative, absorb information and translate it into concise, well-written content for management and board reporting
• Excellent risk management, analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to prioritize, identify dependencies and inter-connectivity between risks and develop optimum solutions
• Ability to minimize “fire drills” with proper planning and communication to meet timelines
• Working knowledge of applicable fair lending and consumer protection laws and regulations related to mortgage industry
• Ability to influence and empower others
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• High ethical standards, excellent judgment, sense of personal initiative, ability to interact constructively with colleagues at all levels of the organization
