Description:

The Compliance Monitoring Manager will be responsible for managing the Group CMP to provide assurance that the Group is operating in line with regulatory requirements and internal compliance policies and procedures. This entails planning, development and implementation of the risk-based Group CMP, working with the business units to undertake reviews and issuing reports that provide assurance as well as highlighting controls deficiencies so that they can be corrected.

Job responsibility:

  • Develop comprehensive CMP based on compliance risk assessment of assigned business or support units.
  • Identify key compliance risks and controls to ensure the regulatory requirements and/or policies are being adhered to.
  • Lead and coordinate monitoring reviews, ensuring adherence to CMP timelines, and manage the execution of monitoring reviews by team members. This includes development of detailed monitoring review program and comprehensive testing/analysis to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of controls to ensure alignment with regulatory/policy requirements, and tracking/reporting of compliance issues.
  • Incorporate data-driven approaches/tools/techniques into review planning and execution for comprehensive review coverage and efficient execution of reviews.
  • Train/mentor staff members, providing guidance on monitoring review methodologies, techniques and best practices, to enhance technical skills and knowledge and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, IT or related field
  • Relevant audit/compliance qualifications, certifications or courses (CPA, CIA, CISA preferred)
  • Proven experience in monitoring/audit management.
  • Previous experience in banking/regulatory environment
  • Good understanding of the key compliance risks pertinent to the core activities within the Group, covering Retail, Corporate, Treasury, Private Banking, Investment Banking, Brokerage and Asset Management and key Support Units.
  • Strong understanding of Compliance Monitoring or Audit methodologies and standards.
