Extremely exciting opportunity to work hand in hand with the Head of Legal at a top pharmaceutical firm. An initial 12 months FTC, it’s a role that suits a compliance professional with experience in the pharmaceutical field, ideally with a legal background.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical industry practices
- Experience in compliance programs in the healthcare field
- Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including local authorities.
- Excellent knowledge of contract law required.
- Sound knowledge of the UK legal framework as well as the country’s Compliance regulations- specifically the ABPI.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure that conducts its business according to applicable legal, Compliance and data privacy legislation in the UK.
- Prepare, review and negotiate all UK contracts, legal documents and business agreements. Draft, review and approve client contracts.
- Provide support to the Head of Legal and Compliance regarding any governmental requests and or investigations.
- Assist the Head of Legal and Compliance in the oversight and direction of internal audits as well as local monitoring activities.
- Facilitate and manage the appropriate use of outside counsel.
- Providing pragmatic and timely legal support on diverse local and international legal, compliance, transactional and commercial issues
- Establish local annual training plans of the affiliate, covering compliance SOP’s and processes to ensure they are clearly understood and implemented.
- Perform role-based training on compliance SOP’s and processes for the affiliate such as PMCPA Code of Practice
- Engage in internal and external Compliance Initiatives and networks to share best practices/learning.
