JOB SUMMARY:

As a Monitoring Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the needs of the enterprise-wide Compliance Monitoring group and stakeholders that directly perform monitoring tasks. The individual will work in close collaboration with senior compliance management, business-facing compliance staff, compliance SMEs, Legal, Enterprise Risk Management, front-line business partners, and other key stakeholders to ensure the effective and timely completion of assigned tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-4 years of experience in financial services in either of the following areas: Audit, Compliance, or Risk Management
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with various levels of management
  • Ability to convert complex business requirements into actionable and efficient solutions
  • Ability to implement best practices that optimize program execution
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workloads and prioritize deliverables, ability to be flexible
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with others within and outside compliance at all the levels
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to execute on multiple projects and understand how they fit into the larger Compliance Management Program
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to identify and remediate process inefficiencies
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Good working knowledge of functioning with excel and SharePoint.
  • Experience in the following is a plus but not required: Data management, VBA, SQL, Access, Advanced Excel formulas, InfoPath Designer, Power Apps, Power Automate.
  • Bachelor’s degree or other risk management/Audit certifications like CIA, CRMA, CRCM, CFSA required.
    The typical base pay range for this role is between $65k-$75k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation. Responsibilities:

  • Day to day stewardship of the Compliance Monitoring Program
  • Manage the scheduling and status tracking of required BAU Monitoring assignments
  • Prepare both qualitative and quantitative summary reports for management
  • Audit stakeholder records to assess quality and consistency of monitoring performed
  • Timely completion of the activities with robust communication and stakeholder follow up.
  • Maintain inventory of monitoring items conducted across Core Compliance
  • Establish practical understanding of covered business units to provide insightful support and responses when driving Monitoring initiatives
  • Cross train colleagues on Monitoring BAU assignments and programs, and undergo cross training in other Compliance areas
  • Maintain a strong understanding of how Monitoring integrates with other Compliance Areas (Risk Assessments, Testing, Reg Change Management) and demonstrate leadership in deepening levels of collaboration
  • Produce high-quality and professional deliverables
  • Utilize strong self-reliance pertaining to delivering results, for BAU and non-BAU requests, including identification and execution of efficient plans of action, identification and direct collaboration with appropriate contacts, demonstrated ability to independently problem solve, and conduct ad hoc research/analysis to fulfill requests from leadership
  • Assist in the identification and streamlining of processes
  • Support Compliance Management in developing, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise-wide Compliance Monitoring Program and culture of compliance
  • Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
  • Participate in the maintenance of departmental documentation like program, policy, procedures etc.
  • Review and challenge of the deliverables from the Compliance Officer.
