Description:

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE OF THE COMPLIANCE MONITORING MANAGER:

  • Strong knowledge and experience and application of aviation regulations including UK, EASA and other national Part 145 and Part CAMO frameworks
  • Extensive experience with audit techniques including Root Cause Analysis, Corrective and Preventive Action Development, Regulation, MOE, CAME, and Continuation Training
  • Practical experience and expertise in the application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
  • Demonstrable experience in the development of Safety Management Systems based on the UK management system requirements (including compliance monitoring) and ICAO Annex 19
  • Experience in Authorisation issue, extension, renewal, or withdrawal procedures
  • Previously held these roles and is acceptable to EASA/CAA as Compliance Monitoring Manager (Form 4 holder)

THE ROLE

As a Compliance Monitoring Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained across the EASA and CAA Part 145, CAA Part CAMO and BCAR within Babcock Mission Critical Services.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible to the Accountable Manager for the oversight and delivery of a risk based Compliance Monitoring Audit Plan set in place for the applicable aviation regulations, customer requirements and other standards as applicable at each of the organisation’s facilities primarily in regards to Continuing Airworthiness activities. The role reports to the Safety & Compliance Director to monitor and support the CMM with their responsibilities.

OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Implementation of the Compliance Monitoring Audit Programme for the EASA and CAA Part 145, CAA Part CAMO, BCAR and CAA Part 21G to ensure all elements and activities are reviewed at regular intervals against regulatory requirements and to bring any non-conformance or poor standards to the attention of the person concerned and facilitate the follow up and closure of any non-conformance
  • Perform scheduled audits in accordance with the approved audit programme and ensure that any findings therein discovered are rectified by the department within the accepted timescale
  • Negotiating directly with CAA & EASA regulatory authorities regarding any matters affecting the Company Part 145, CAMO, BCAR, and CAA Part 21G approvals and coordinate all communications with these bodies
  • Monitoring the amendment of the Part 145, CAMO, BCAR and CAA Part 21G procedures and standard practices and their compliance with the current revision of any applicable regulatory requirement and guidance material issued by the CAA and/or EASA
  • Reviewing and submission of formal amendments of the MOE / CAME / POE to the Authority
  • Holding regular reviews of the Safety & Compliance System with the Engineering Management Team and Accountable Manager to continuously monitor the performance to the standards expected of the aviation regulators
    This role is full time and is based at our Staverton site. We can offer hybrid working arrangements for the right candidate.
