Description:

We are looking for a Compliance Officer who will provide advice and support on legal and compliance matters of the Company.
The Compliance Officer will report directly to the Headquarters’ compliance team. One of the main objectives will be to obtain the licenses which will enable Flowdesk to deploy its offers in Singapore.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCES

  • Basic training (Master in Law or in Compliance studies)
  • Experience in Finance or Banking is appreciated
  • Experience with the MAS

SKILLS AND PERSONALITY

  • Curious and autonomous
  • Knowledge of MS Office, project management tools and collaborative tools
  • Good interpersonal skills and team player
  • Ability to work independently, with integrity and responsibility
  • Strong understanding of due diligence and local Anti-Money Laundering requirements
  • Professional proficiency in English is mandatory, another language is a plus
  • Good knowledge and appetite for the financial industry world
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of the cryptocurrency industry

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and support to management and staff on legal and compliance-related areas, rules and regulations, Company’s internal policies and procedures, cross-border marketing guidelines etc.
  • Liaise with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and any other relevant authorities, internal and external parties for any legal and compliance-related matters, including regulatory filings and licensing matters.
  • Support on all aspects of regulatory and compliance requirements, keeping abreast of regulatory developments, assessing potential impact on the Company’s existing policies/procedures and implementing changes and improvements to the Company’s internal control and internal check processes through the reviewing and updating of the Company’s internal policies, guidelines and procedures from time to time.
  • Support the preparation/follow-up on internal/external audits and regulatory inspections
  • Prepare quarterly reports/ annual reports on legal and compliance for submission to the Company’s Board of Directors.
  • Conducting checks on staff personal trades, outside business activities, gifts and hospitality records.
  • Review and comment on marketing materials, research materials, and other publications.
  • Provide internal legal support; drafting and reviewing fund offering documents, agreements, board resolutions and other legal documentation relating to the Company’s business.
  • Perform related tasks assigned from time to time.
