The opportunity
We’re looking for a Compliance Officer (Privacy) to join our well-established and successful Data Protection team. This is a full-time, permanent role that allows a lot of flexibility around ways of working, and provides international exposure.
Your new role
Reporting directly to our Data Protection Officer, you’ll assist the team achieve its key objectives and priorities, and research emerging Privacy material. You’ll provide advice to the business on interpretation/impact/compliance with regulatory requirements and support the develop of policies, guidance and processes.

Other responsibilities:

  • Maintain knowledge of relevant and associated Privacy regulatory requirements for all European Operations territories as applicable to the insurance market.
  • Monitor and assess ongoing compliance with EO Country regulatory/Lloyd’s requirements are maintained
  • Support the administration of any Regulatory Privacy Fee payments, checking banding applicable to each EO entity
  • Assist in the ongoing maintenance of the risk controls and other documentation in support of the compliance governance model
  • Provide privacy management information to management including contribution to board, group and committee reports/packs
  • Assist in ensuring that the relevant areas of the Privacy intranet mini-site and Privacy Notices / Cookie banners are accurate and up to date
  • Assist in ensuring that Article 30 (Records of Processing) are maintained and updated
  • Support the management of inbound requests such as Crime and Taxation and Data Privacy Impact Assessment requests to ensure validity and time dependencies are met
  • Assist with data subject rights requests

About you
You’ve a talent for communication, effortlessly connecting with individuals at every level and skillfully influencing them.

Other skills you’ll need:

  • Commercial Insurance background
  • Experience in a privacy role within a regulated entity
  • Knowledge of Insurance and Reinsurance market insurance practices
