Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compliance Officer to join a dynamic team within the financial services sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic and tactical enhancements of the Group Compliance function, ensuring both internal and external compliance requirements are met. With a particular focus on Commercial Insurance divisions across the UK & Ireland, this role promises diversity and challenge.
Responsibilities
- Representing the compliance division to the business and providing suitable advice on regulations and compliance issues
- Providing support with our training & competence scheme, including implementation, monitoring, adviser development and administration
- Undertaking relevant research and diligence as required by the team
- Support in resolving and responding to complaints
- Supporting the compliance team in devising, implementing, monitoring and reviewing solutions to requirements arising from all applicable legislation
- Keeping up to date with current compliance requirements across pensions, insurance, investments, and mortgages
- Building relationships with key stakeholders in all business lines
- Collecting and informing on relevant management information (MI)
- Undertaking general support and administration duties for the compliance division
REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrable experience in compliance roles or similar within the insurance sector
- Strong knowledge of the UK or Irish regulatory framework.
- High degree of integrity with high ethical standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to new systems quickly
- Commercial insurance experience is a must
