KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 4-8 years in customer operations or compliance
  • Systemic knowledge of financial services operations
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and spot compliance issues from a large volume of data
  • Working knowledge of SQL preferred
  • Ability to investigate data at a macro level in order to detect systemic issue
  • Highly detail oriented
  • Service oriented attitude and ability to exercise sound business judgment
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Strong business acumen
  • Working knowledge of federal consumer protection laws and regulations
  • Working knowledge of consumer lending and/or payment operations
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree
  • Experience in fintech bank partnership model preferred
    The national pay range for this role is $118,000-$140,000 in base salary. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience aligned with Flex’s internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Flex Compliance is seeking an experienced and qualified compliance professional to fill the role of Compliance Operations Manager to help implement and expand the existing CMS program.
This role is responsible for performing a variety of duties to assist Flex with compliance of internal policies and procedures as well as applicable laws, and regulations. Accordingly, this role will also assist the business in performing risk management activities, developing, and enhancing controls to reduce risk across the company. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and have strong analytical skills, as well as well-demonstrated relationship building skills and the ability to communicate and present information to all levels of management.
This role is hybrid with on-site expectations of 2-3 days per week in our New York Headquarters.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Assist the VP of Compliance in the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of Flex’s compliance management system to ensure consistent adherence to all applicable federal and state regulatory requirements impacting operations and customers.
  • Maintain and update the current Compliance Risk Assessment, policies, and applicable procedures.
  • Identify, track, and analyze additions and changes in law, regulation, or guidance introduced by both federal and state authorities impacting Bank operations and customers.
  • Assist in the development of a strong change management process for the communication and implementation of new regulatory requirements, products, services, and programs.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of all Flex product-related federal and state laws and regulations and monitor legislative and regulatory developments. Coordinate the gathering of information requested during consumer compliance examinations and develop responses to any related findings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with Legal to investigate and respond to legal demands and provide trend reporting
  • Maintain knowledge of operational policies and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain the Consumer Complaints Dashboard
  • Prepare reports for State and Regulatory exams as needed.
  • Provide complaint key performance indicator ("KPI") reporting to Flex leadership team
