Description:

NMI is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Specialist to join our dynamic Compliance and Risk team. Reporting to NMI’s Director of Compliance and Risk, you will be responsible for ensuring that NMI’s operations comply with all relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. This role will play a critical part in maintaining NMI’s culture of compliance and reputation as a trusted payment service provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director of Compliance and Risk with identifying changes in regulatory requirements and industry standards; update policies and procedures accordingly
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external due diligence and audit inquiries from various third-parties, including NMI’s vendors, customers, sponsor bank(s) and other various partners; coordinate responses and remediation efforts as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, legal, finance, marketing, security, and risk, to implement compliance initiatives, provide guidance on regulatory matters, and work on assigned tasks across the company
  • Assist Director of Compliance and Risk in management and execution of internal risk assessment and gap analysis processes
  • Assist with complaint tracking and resolution management
  • Track and monitor Compliance tickets in NMI’s Jira ticketing system
  • Prepare and present reports on compliance and risk management activities
  • Support and monitor NMI’s compliance training requirements to ensure staff completion and training module coverage is managed accordance with requirements and NMI policies
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in compliance management within the payment industry
  • Promotes a corporate culture which makes compliance a top priority
