This position is located in Lappeenranta, Tampere or Vaasa.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • +3 years of experience working with product design and development and/or engineering research
  • Ability to work effectively in a high quality, deadline committed environment
  • Being an effective team player, yet not afraid of working independently or taking responsibility
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English
  • Awareness of obsolescence tools like Silicon expert

Appreciated skills and qualifications:

  • Proficiency in OrCAD and Teamcenter PLM

  • Understanding of functional safety (especially ISO 26262) and experience of developing products for automotive industry

Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for the electrification of on- and off-highway vehicles through new product development projects. In this position you will

  • Review Bills of Material (BOM) of PCBA’s for obsolescence, hazardous material, and other design criteria’s

  • Provide alternative suggestion for components

  • Identify End of the Life (EOL) and Not recommended for New Design (NRND) components, and support resolution
  • Technical interface between PCBA suppliers, product design team and procurement
