We are looking for a Component Manager for PreClinical Imaging Infrastructure to join our Reseach and Development team at our Ettlingen office.
The Component Manager (CM) for PreClinical Imaging (PCI) Infrastructure holds the technical and regulatory responsibility for all system infrastructure components within the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Molecular Imaging (NMI) and Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) instruments of the PCI product portfolio during the entire life cycle of the components. The PCI infrastructure mainly consists of electrical power distribution components, uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), cooling units and mechanical structures to accommodate different parts and assemblies of the instruments.
Furthermore, the CM PCI Infrastructure manages the technical interfaces between the instruments and the installation sites regarding electrical installation, cooling and air conditioning/ventilation and static requirements.

Aufgaben/Verantwortlichkeiten:

  • Act as a lead engineer in the internal and external development of PCI infrastructure components
  • In case of external developments, act as technical and management interface between external partners and Bruker
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of the components (including certification activities), regulatory adaptions on existing components, recertifications and updates
  • Technology exploration & assessment
  • Ensure that potential synergies are exploited between different product lines
  • Creation and maintenance of technical data and documentation (for example technical specifications, service manuals, …)
  • Manage engineering changes
  • Sustaining engineering and management of end of life topics on all assigned components
  • Highlight life cycle risks and propose new development/re-engineering projects
  • Involvement in Quality Meetings and CAPA (corrective and preventive action) cases; manage and execute R&D action points
  • Technical consulting for PCI Site Planning

Qualifikationen:

  • Masters degree in electrical engineering, technical building services or similar engineering discipline
  • At least 5 years of technical experience regarding electrical installations, cooling / air conditioning installations, building statics
  • Practical experience in product safety and regulatory / certification aspects
  • Basic knowledge and professional experience on product life cycle management
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications, SAP knowledge is a plus
  • Fluent written and spoken technical English skills, willing to learn the local language (German)
  • Ability to lead by example and with integrity
