The Role & What You Will Be Doing
The Compounding Technician will be responsible for compounding aseptically prepared products to required cGMP standards.

Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Compounding Technician role will make an impact:

  • Compound all batches filled on site, following and promoting Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), standard operating procedures and all health and safety regulations.
  • Adhering to stringent documentation procedures ensuring accuracy, retrieval and audit trail.
  • Dispensing raw materials as per approved operating procedure.
  • Perform any activities associated with the manufacture of batches filled on site including CIP/SIP ensuring that the compounding and dispensary areas and its environs are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, this includes supporting the Packaging Dept. in Casla when required.

About Your Skills & Experience

For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

  • Minimum of a Leaving Certificate and 1-2 years’ experience within a Pharmaceutical or medical device company, preferably in a compounding/ dispensing area.
  • Must possess previous experience of working to GMP regulations as well as gowning experience for a Grade C environment or equivalent.
  • Must possess knowledge of manufacturing processes within a pharmaceutical/ medical device environment.

Physical Demands
This position requires a lot of manual handling, involving lifting (sometimes heavy weights), carrying and climbing.
May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms to lift and scoop. May be required to lift or manoeuvre boxes or containers using lifting equipment, as well as physically pushing, rolling or lifting. May be required to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to: respiratory protection, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes and protective clothing. Heavy lifting requirements.
