Job Description
One of the reputed University in Oman invites applicants for the position of Assistant Professor in Computer Science.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging lectures to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
- Employ innovative teaching methods to ensure students reach their full potential.
- Provide supervision and guidance to students on theoretical and practical activities.
- Oversee and assist with laboratory work as needed.
- Evaluate and grade students’ coursework, assignments, and exams.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and other necessary documentation.
- Develop course materials including syllabi, assignments, and handouts.
- Supervise undergraduate and/or graduate teaching, internships, and research projects.
- Stay updated on advancements in the field through literature review, discussions, and conference attendance.
- Assist department chair and colleagues in departmental initiatives.
- Conduct research and publish findings in professional journals and other media.
- Serve on academic and administrative committees.
- Write grant proposals to secure external research funding.
- Provide consulting services to government and industry.
- Fulfill any other duties assigned by the Dean.
Job Profile

REQUIREMENTS:

• PhD or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum three years of teaching and research experience with the rank of Assistant Professor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Research publications and grant writing experience preferred.
