• Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Engineering or a related field from a four-year college or university.
• Computer skills required: Working knowledge of MS Office programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good troubleshooting skills.

• Proficiency in project management software and tools for planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities.

• Extensive understanding of Technical Engineering and Construction practices, including contract management.
• Professional certifications in project management or relevant engineering disciplines (e.g., PMP, PE) are desirable but not mandatory.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maximize project efficiency and profitability.
• Determine project specifications and acquire the necessary materials for completion.
• Develop scope and parameters for project design and implementation.
• Identify project responsibilities and delegate phases and elements to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist in development and control measures for project-plan lifecycle.

DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager in establishing project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards within corporate policy boundaries.
• Prepare scheduled updates of activities and analyze manpower and equipment requirements.
• Create and administer appropriate testing protocols to monitor project performance.
• Promptly inform supervisors and subcontractors of any schedule changes, working closely with project teams to ensure requirements are met.
• Familiarize with budgetary, scheduling, and project requirements to provide regular reports to the project manager, keeping them informed of job progress, plans, and potential issues that could impact costs or schedules significantly.
• Manage compliance, quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications.

• Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure optimal utilization and cost efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to project team members, assisting with problem resolution, interpretation of drawings and specifications, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Foster strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, acting as a point of contact and addressing their concerns and requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality control, identify potential safety hazards, and enforce adherence to project specifications and safety protocols.
• Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, change orders, and progress updates, and ensure accurate and timely submission to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior project engineers, supporting their professional development and fostering a collaborative team environment.

• Manage and coordinate multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project specifications, schedules, and budgets.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
• Independently Conduct thorough project planning, including resource allocation, scheduling, and cost estimation, and monitor project progress against established metrics.
• Oversee the preparation and review of project documentation, such as drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Implement effective project control measures to track and manage project performance, including cost control, risk assessment, and quality assurance.
• Proactively identify potential project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact on project timelines and outcomes.
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex project issues, troubleshoot challenges, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, address field issues, and enforce adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Foster strong client relationships and develop new relationships by maintaining regular communication, addressing concerns, and providing timely updates on project status.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and best practices in project management and construction methodologies, incorporating relevant innovations into project execution.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise and mentor Project Engineers I & II.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and reviewing work.
