Our Red Chris operation is now recruiting for the position of Condition Monitoring Technician with a competitive base salary between $86,025.00 - $93,000.00 dependant on experience, skills, and qualifications. The offered base salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills and competencies with consideration to internal equity.
We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.
Purpose of the Role
The Condition Monitoring Technician is responsible for monitoring and reporting the condition of critical process plant and fleet equipment. You will play a key role in the predictive maintenance strategy and support the production and maintenance teams with technical expertise to ensure high reliability on critical process plant and fleet equipment.
The role is FIFO 15/13 roster reporting to the Reliability Superintendent.

Accountabilities

  • Perform Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic Thickness inspection of structural elements of the mobile fleet, fixed plant equipment, tools, and jigs
  • Perform Oil Analysis and Vibration Analysis
  • Perform inspections including visual, contact ultrasound, mag particles, liquid penetrant, thermography, and any other non-destructive inspections
  • Perform baseline vibration measurements and alignments on rotating equipment
  • Collaborate with trades, participate in the Preventative Maintenance program, assist with troubleshooting, and recommend repairs
  • Work closely with the reliability, planning, and execution teams to maximize equipment reliability and availability
  • Analyze condition monitoring data, build reports and work orders according to findings.
  • Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, in compliance with safety regulations

About You

Position requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Vibration Analyst level II certification
  • Level II certification Machine Lubricant Analyst / Machinery Lubrication Technician
  • Certified in accordance with the Canadian General Standards Board with at least one of the followings: Magnetic Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT) is considered an asset
  • Strong digital literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite®: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of complex rotating equipment and their maintenance techniques and fault analysis
  • A demonstrated track record in problem solving skills together with an aptitude to solve technical difficulties
  • Working knowledge of SAP PM is considered an asset
  • Working Experience with Grinding Equipment (SAG Mill/Ball Mill) and Crushing Systems would be considered an asset.
