GROUPS, CONFERENCES & EVENTS EXECUTIVE – CLAYTON HOTEL BURLINGTON ROAD
We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Groups, Conferences & Events Executive in the iconic Clayton Hotel Burlington Road.
Located 30 minutes from Dublin International Airport and a 15-minute walk from St Stephen’s Green, our iconic Conference hotel caters for up to 1200 delegates with 20 supporting meeting rooms and 502 guest bedrooms..
EXPERIENCE AND KEY ATTRIBUTES
- 1 – 2 years previous conference/event sales or planning experience in a hotel or venue
- Experience working in hospitality
- An excellent command of the English language
- Excellent organisational skills
- Possess the ability to see an opportunity and act on it to secure revenue for the hotel
- Strong selling and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the Groups, Conferences & Events Manager, this is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced conference and events executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for liaising and building relationships with clients from the very start of the enquiry process – from sending the initial proposal, converting the business, planning the conference or event to securing repeat business.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work well in a fast-paced environment as part of an office-based team
- Show strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication is required to follow procedures and respond to enquiries over the phone and by email
- The ability to find the best solutions for clients while also maximising the potential and revenue for the hotel
- To ensure the accurate processing and follow up of all correspondence with clients and colleagues, including the execution of proposals, contracts, invoices and event orders
- Ensure all client requirements are met and perform account management on conference/events clients
- Report weekly and monthly on account performance and general activity
- Experience with Opera and Amadeus / Delphi desirable but not essential
