Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Configuration Management Lead (CML) is accountable to the Austal Configuration Manager and the relevant Program Manager. The CML primary role is to oversee the configuration management functions - planning, identification, control, status accounting and auditing for specified contract/project. The CML will ensure configuration management activities for assigned project are adequately planned, estimated, implemented, and supported by appropriate tools.
KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- development and maintenance of the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) which outlines the CM policies, processes, strategy, and tools for the specific project.
- establishing and maintaining the configuration baselines and audits.
- controlling change by implementing and enforcing the change management process, which defines how the changes are requested, evaluated, approved, implemented, tested, and documented.
- facilitating Change Control Board (CCB) meetings and maintain associated data updates as required for the project(s).
- responsible for verifying and auditing of configuration baselines, ensuring control of approved and historical data.
- team development ensuring process compliance and continuous improvement.
- Develop and administer schedules and ensure the success of Austal programs.
