Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School or GED required. Additional formal training and certifications in related fields is a plus (Computer Technologies, Networking, IP Video)
  • Basic understanding of network concepts and architectures; experience with networking and TCP/IP
  • One year of experience in a help desk environment supporting network hardware
  • Knowledge of DOS (telnet, tracert, ping, Ipconfig) and Windows
  • Familiarity with warehouse practices – data input, inventory control, keeping a safe working environment, utilization, and optimization of space.
  • Ability to work overtime, alternate shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays and be on call to meet customer requirements.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communications skills for information exchange, reporting of stock levels, and discrepancies.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and have a working knowledge of computer hardware, electronics, networks, protocols, and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assembly, installation, testing and troubleshooting of all client camera systems including equipment and peripherals to ensure functionality & quality
  • Work closely with the Field Operations Manager/Inventory Manager to assist other work groups with meeting schedules through proper supply and allocation/reallocation of resources including staff, space and equipment to jobs and projects
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues encountered during assembly, testing or during the configuration process
  • Begins building & configuring field devices, networking equipment, NVR components & enclosures
  • Labels all equipment for deployment
  • Assembles and plugs in all equipment on burn-in station
  • Hardware sent back to Warehouse for shipment/pick up
