SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

The Connected Car Triage Engineer should have the following skills or experience:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Have relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic development relating to vehicle body electronics, navigation or telematics systems e.g. in aerospace, telecoms or similar.
  • Have knowledge of the electrical architecture of modern vehicle electronics and experience of fault finding.
  • Have a good awareness of Connected car system onboard (in vehicle) & offboard (cloud) side.
  • Have a good understand network communications and cloud system.
  • Good experience of MS Azure OMS & Kusto Query is an advantage but not a must.
  • Must be proficient in the ticket management tools like Jira.
  • Be able to demonstrate and have practical experience in problem solving tools and techniques.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Competent with PC applications including Microsoft excel and Microsoft power point.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

Working within the Connected car Off board Quality team you will be responsible for maintaining & improving the connected car experience for customers in the AMEIO region by identifying the concerns reported by the several teams. Working with colleagues around the world to triage and fix the concerns identified by customers, validation team or quality team.
The scope of responsibility is to project manage and lead triage topics of connected car services in the AMIEO region by establishing good communication skills. This engineer will be responsible of investigating complex connected car service related issues in the cross car lines & cross regions and liaise with the relevant stakeholders to get to the root cause of the problem. This engineer should be able to understand the priorities/urgencies of the concerns and take action accordingly and expected to have good knowledge working in the cloud architecture.
Triage team is a new function within DY3 and the engineer is expected to support setting up the new triage process and taking handover from Japan counterparts.

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Quality investigations for connected car Engineering team
  • Provide technical support for cloud-based issue analysis.
  • Utilise analytical tools to identify trends & triage concerns.
  • Utilise & Enhance MS Azure OMS Queries to debug & Triage concerns.
  • Extract logs from the cloud & coordinate with the supplier to fix the concern.
  • Generate reports & Share with the members locally & globally.
  • Proficient in using ticket management tools like Jira, Azure etc
  • Cross functional working with project quality, management, and engineering teams to ensure early response & transparency to concerns.
  • Conduct Root cause investigation of complex concerns including the necessary stakeholders.
