Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Connectivity and Unified Communications Lead is responsible for leading the Connectivity and Unified Communications Product Service Lines (PSL) to represent Infrastructure and Digital Workplace ( D&IM) Domain in front of other Airbus Functions.
The objective is to lead the successful implementation and ongoing enhancement of our organization’s connectivity and unified communications solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive technology experience for our end users, from initial rollout to continuous improvement, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive adoption and user satisfaction.

Reporting to the HO (Head of) Infrastructure and Digital Workplace, the role will manage connectivity and unified communications services ensuring end to end ownership of the product life cycle. The Connectivity and Unified Communications Lead will also be responsible to align with global product owners to advocate for harmonization of end user products and services within APAC core countries.

  • Lead a team of network engineers and communication specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve team objectives.
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructure, including LAN ( local area network), WAN ( wide-area network ) , VPNs ( virtual private networks) , routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Oversee the deployment and management of unified communication systems, such as VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), video conferencing, messaging, and collaboration tools.
  • Develop strategies for network and communication upgrades, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and address network and communication-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Monitor network performance, analyze data traffic, and implement optimizations to enhance reliability, speed, and efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures to safeguard network integrity and protect against cyber threats.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance network capabilities and communication efficiency.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines for network and communication initiatives.
  • Contribute and collaborate within D&IM domains, and other internal stakeholders to translate opportunities and challenges into innovative technology solutions for our connectivity and unified communications.
  • Manage/coordinate connectivity and unified communications projects and initiatives assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (10 years) in network infrastructure design, implementation, and management, with a focus on unified communication systems.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team towards achieving set goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, security measures, and unified communication technologies.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools, troubleshooting techniques, and performance optimization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional), CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert), CompTIA (Computing Technology Industry Association) Network+, etc.) would be a plus
