Description:

CONSTRUCTION ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER/ PROJECT ENGINEER

LaRosa Building Group, LLC, a General Contractor/Construction Manager, is seeking a Project Engineer for our CT office.

The APM/Project Engineer will assist the project manager in the total construction effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. This includes but not limited to:

  • Correspondence with client representative, architect and engineer representatives, and subcontractors
  • Log-in, track and review shop drawings, RFI’s, submittals and project documentation
  • Create weekly meeting minutes and reports.
  • Obtain, track and submit project closeout documents.
  • Maintain and enforce project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Must be able to manage multiple and diverse assignments, work independently and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
  • Must be able to apply innovative and effective techniques to maximize performance.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities.
  • Must have superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills.
  • Must be open to work from a jobsite if needed.
  • Ideal basic Microsoft project knowledge.
  • Ideal basic Procore knowledge.

Applicants must have a bachelor s degree or 4 years construction project engineering experience. Applicants must have strong computer skills. Candidate must have effective written and oral communication skills. Procore Project Management software experience a plus. Salary will be commensurate with experience and best fit for this position.
